Hi, my name is Tammy Horn and I am the office manager and financial planner for Thiesing Family Chiropractic.  I have worked here for six years and I and my family receive regular chiropractic adjustments.  I enjoy reading and spending time with my two children, my husband and dogs.  I have enjoyed the benefits of chiropractic care for almost ten years and I look forward to being a part of your chiropractic family.

Kyla Coleman
Kyla Coleman

Hi!  My name is Kyla Coleman.  I started working as an aerobics instructor at The Body Studio in 2008.  I enjoy working with people and helping them become as healthy as they can be.  Soon after I began my journey as an aerobics instructor, I was offered a chance of a lifetime to become a Patient Educator for Dr. Thiesing’s patients.  Because of my new role, I am able to see the life changing improvements that Chiropractic care has done, not only for myself, but for others as well.  I encourage you to take on these wonderful experiences and further your own health as I have done for myself.  I look forward to meeting you!

Megan Andrews, Chiropractic Assistant
Megan Andrews

Hi!  My name is Megan Andrews.  I am a Chiropractic Assistant for Dr. Thiesing and I have known the Thiesing family since I started my own chiropractic care in 2006.  As my family and I began our own journey through the world of Chiropractic, my dream of massage therapy grew.  The Thiesing family nurtured my dream by offering me an internship.  I am proud to say that I will be graduating from Cumberland Institute in August of 2010.  Until then I plan to carry on with the wonderful experiences that my new family surrounds me with every day.

Shellie Evans, Chiropractic Assistant
Shellie Evans

My name is Shellie Evans. I am a Chiropractic Assistant to Dr. Thiesing and I enjoy the opportunity to work with caring people. I was in an accident in 2005. In my accident, I fractured my L1 vertebrae and sought help for years. I tried everything from physical therapy to pain medications and although there was temporary relief, these methods never seemed to correct the problem. When I became an employee of Dr. Thiesing’s in August 2009, I began receiving regular Chiropractic treatment and have never felt better! My goal is to take the knowledge I have acquired in this office and continue to spread the work of Chiropractic. It amazes me to see how much Chiropractic affects people in such a positive way! I am looking forward to continuing my journey of helping aid people to heal through Chiropractic.

Dr. Stephen Asks some important questions of interest to Columbia residents - Chiropractor Columbia Dr. Stephen Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
